Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, one of the premier educational institutions of central India, was established in 1923, and hence is celebrating its centennial year of establishment. The premises of the university are spread over 373 acres, which consist of heritage buildings, seven lush green campuses with gardens, enriched biodiversity, and the spiritual antecedent of Tukadoji Maharaj, who impelled the academic culture within the university.
Vigyan Jyot - Flame of Knowledge was conceived on the lines of the Olympic flame. It is a movement dedicated to nurturing scientific temper in the society, especially the youth.
